The french school, part I


The Professional Licée Hector Guimard, built between 1960 and 1962 and restored in 2007, currently accomodates more than 500 students and teaches them the building and arts crafts and job. Another internship will be open by the end of 2011.

The restoration and expansion works will allow the school to grant new sections and classes, to a maximum of 600 students. The end of works is fixed by April 2011.


The restoration will include a general renewal of every building

, and a reset of the security standards and accessibility to handicapped people, the creation of underground car park needed to expand the external areas. It will involve the eventual demolition of existing buildings. The project was chosen after an architectural competition. The operation will be conducted in compliance with a HQE (High Environmental Quality).
